The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) and Gruppo Volontariato Civile (GVC) begin the implementation of the project 'Increasing income of impoverished small olive oil producers in 10 villages of the Northern West Bank'; funded by the EC.

The overall objective of the project is to improve income and quality production capacities of small olive oil producers in the West Bank. Ten meetings were held in ten locations of Nablus District (A'seera Al Qabaliyeh, Madama, O'reef, Awarta, and Bureen), and Tulkarem District (Kataba, Rameen, Kofor Al Labad, Beit Leed, and Anabta). The main goal of the meetings is to socialize the project among the community, while explaining the implementation methodology, the importance of cooperation; and the important role of the village councils and agricultural committees in implementing the project. Moreover, participants attending those meetings were members from local committees, heads of village councils.
