UAWC organizes a reciprocal visit to a number of farmers from Qalqiliya to Hebron governorates
The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) organized a joint visit to a number of farmers from Qalqilia and Hebron governorates within "Market Oriented and Sustainable High Value Crops Sector Development in the West Bank and Gaza Strip" that is funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and UAWC, in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.
The visit includes a presentation about guava sector in Qalqilia governorate and the marketing difficulties faced by farmers in marketing their agricultural products. Hebron's farmers presented some crucial information about grapes in terms of quantities and types. In addition, to the difficulties they face in marketing their grapes.
At the end of the visit, discussions were opened between the commercial and productive parties, which is concluded by oral agreements / commercial deals between the two parties.
