Advocacy program for farmers rights
|
This program aims at protecting farmers’ rights, land and water rights from the Israeli violations, and from natural resources; by focusing on building agricultural committee’s capacity through the different training courses, and providing them with experimental projects. In addition to establishing permanent premises for the agricultural committees and equipping them with the necessary communication tools, in order to facilitate their work.
This program also focuses on increasing public awareness regarding important agricultural matters such as the genetically modifies organisms GMOs, the concept of fair trade, compensation in cases of natural disasters, protecting Palestinian markets from Israeli products, the Apartheid wall of Separation, and supporting the marginalized and the poor through international solidarity groups for farmers’ rights.
This program includes the contribution of establishing effective networks for organizations working in the rural communities and the agricultural sector.
